Samuel L. Clemens, a.k.a. Mark Twain (1835-1910):

In 1884, at the age of 49, Mark Twain learned to ride one of the old high-wheel bicycles of that period. He wrote an account of his experience, but did not offer it for publication. The form of bicycle he rode long ago became antiquated, but in the humor of his pleasantry is a quality which does not grow old.

It was on the 10th day of May--1884--that I confessed to age by mounting spectacles for the first time, and in the same hour I renewed my youth, to outward appearance, by mounting a bicycle for the first time.
The spectacles stayed on.

Taming the Bicycle

The famous visionary and science fiction writer once said:

“Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.”

He also predicted that “Cycle tracks will abound in Utopia.”

Albert Einstein (1879-1955):

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.

There are two things noteworthy about this picture. Fistly, he really seems to enjoy riding his bike and secondly, he doesn’t wear a helmet. ;-)
