The nicest of all Tälercup races and one of the toughest, too. It hadn’t rained for weeks and the forest ground was so dry that the tough downhill section was covered in 4-inch deep dust. I started a
bit slowly but soon managed to find my place in the main group of riders. What astonished me most was that I could easily keep up my pace. From round 4 on I gained more and more ground on the riders in front of me
and by round 6 I was 10th! And that in spite of my crash in round one when I tumbled so far downhill that I had to run back up several metres to get my bike (“I still need this”, I told some spectators). The crashes
in the last round couldn’t seriously slow me down as well. I literally “bit the dust” twice in 10 seconds, but nothing serious happened to my bike or me.
