View from the Belchen (little Ball), the second highest mountain in the Black Forest (1414m), towards France. You can see the Vogues in the Background. The two mountain ranges used to be linked a loong time ago. The Rhine Valley  between them potentially is an earthquake zone.

There is a webcam under Schauinsland.com where I can always check out the weather up there. The mountain has the longest cableway in Germany with cute little gondolas.

The long foothills of the 1284m high Schauinsland (look- into-the-country) reach right into the city and there you can find some beautiful trails.
